Covid-19 and Combe Community Hub

We are pleased to report that the building work to improve the Hub facilities is going very well, with thanks to our builders Hooper Bros Ltd., and will be completed in time for Combe Pre-School to reopen on 7th September.

Also, importantly, we are working on being able to take bookings for other activities and events under ‘Covid-19 secure’, controlled circumstances towards the end of September. Please discuss any possible bookings with the lettings officer, Sally Purssell 898348, so that guidance can be given. For activities that will take place in the main Hub room, this room will now have its own entrance, separate disabled toilet and kitchenette area for use when Pre-School is in operation.

Updated UK government guidance was issued on 14th August 2020 relating to the safe use of multipurpose community facilities. Activities will need to be Covid-19 secure, with detailed risk assessments carried out first before a booking can take place.

We will put in place appropriate controls so that Combe Hub can be used for groups using social distancing and other measures required by the risk assessments. We will also update the position as and when further UK government guidance is published.

We look forward to welcoming you back to Combe Community Hub!
